Goodness I Can’t Afford

Every day there are constant reminders that I can never earn my place in our Father’s household.

The Bible provokes me with this… “Live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” (Ephesians 4:1)

The truth is that I have been given a place in my Father’s house that I could never earn in a million years.

My stuck places as his child are my blindspots… where I try to earn what I already have.

Trying to earn goodness that I can’t afford is a bottomless pit of indebtedness empowered by lies.

Choosing to LISTEN to the voice knocking on my door and opening to absorb the news that I am God’s child… one who already has a place in Jesus lets me breathe again.

Jesus answers my questions about my identity and how to find my place in my Father’s house by asking to come into MY space. (Revelation 3:20)

THIS is the goodness that I have been given… that I could never afford.
